Butterfly Garden and other useful information

Hello again,

I am so excited to share with you, another new kit by another designer at Scraps-N-Pieces. The designer is KatyBug Scraps. She does such awesome work and designs some very beautiful kits. Butterfly Garden has some very beautiful elements, papers and colors. It's made up of some pinks, oranges, greens and mango's. Her wonderful use of colors helps to add so many different ways to scrap layouts with this kit. This kit has 35 different papers and over 100 embellishments. You simply can't go wrong with this kit. I am including a preview of the new kit so you can see what I'm talking about.

This last layout, entitled Butterfly Princess, I used a template by a lady who goes by the name of PardonTheMess. I used her template as an inspiration and made it my own. You should go and check her templates out as well.

Winter Wonderland

Hello again,

Well I think my broken toe has finally healed to the point where I can actually put a shoe on without climbing the walls with pain. I am so happy about this one. Now I can actually get out and do some things without being in pain. Yea me!

Here is a kit I wanted to talk to you about. It's called Winter Wonderland. It is a beautiful kit with blues and greys and tans. The embellishments are wonderfully made and there are so many of them. I truly love this kit. Karen of scrapN2Nspire, really out did herself on this. Oh, here, instead of listening to me talk about it, why don't I just show it to you, then you can see for yourself what I'm talking about.

Awesome Kit Called Butterfly Buddies

Hi All,

I wanted to take a moment or two and share with you, a kit from AmyDane Designs over at scraps-n-pieces. It's called Butterfly Buddies. This kit has some really beautiful colors in it and is loaded with papers and embellishments. I am working toward getting this kit because it's one I can't live without. As you know, from reading my blog, my mom passed away in May 2010. I miss her terribly. When I see butterflies flying around my yard, I believe it is her coming to visit to make sure I am doing ok. This kit is going to help me scrap pages around my mom and my memories of her. Here, let me show you the preview of this kit.

Just Wanted To Share This With You

I know it's been awhile since I've posted but life has been chaotic around here with broken bones, illnesses and such. My little girl has been sick all week with a double ear infection, sinus infection, upper respiratory infection and a horrible cough. Poor baby. I think she MIGHT be turning the corner finally though. Her fevers come and go so it's been a wild ride this week with her. She is anxious to get back to school, so we're hoping that happens this next week sometime. I've had to put a lot of things (not complaining nor do I mind) on hold that certain people have hoped to have to them by today. I am sorry for this.

I've been thinking a lot of my mom lately, whom I miss so very much. You never know just how much you miss someone until they aren't there anymore. My mom was always there for us, no matter what. I love her and miss her so much. Sometimes when the kids are doing something that they shouldn't be doing, I can just see mom up in heaven snickering, like she did. At that point, I look up snicker too and tell her "it's not funny mom!" I just feel her with me. This morning, I was in the kitchen fixing the kids their breakfast. I remembered something that happened last year or so. It was in October of 2010 and I wasn't feeling well. I was laying on out patio furniture outside while the kids were playing. At one point, we were laying there looking at the clouds and telling each other what they looked at. The kids got tired of looking at clouds so they got up to go play. I was just laying there and when I looked up, I saw the most amazing thing I've ever seen. The clouds started forming and they formed into a heart. I was awe struck and couldn't move. At that point, I had thought of going to get my camera to take a picture, but something held me there. I couldn't move. I looked away at the kids and when I looked back and saw a cloud form into a resemblance of my moms face on top of the heart. I just laid there with a peace like none other, come over me. It was my mom on top of a heart. What this told me was that my mom with still with me and she loved me. I just couldn't bring myself to going in the house to get the camera because I was afraid it would be gone when I got back. I just wanted to be with my mom again for just a few moments. I felt her with me more at that moment, than I had felt her in the 5 months she had been gone. Mom, I love you and miss you so much.

SNP Speed Scrap

I just wanted to let you know (before I forget) that on Monday night, January 16, 2012, Karen of scrapN2Nspire is hosting an awesome Speed Scrap. What is a Speed Scrap? You get 7 instructions in an hour to make a layout. You then get another hour to finish up your layout. Speed Scraps are so much fun. Speed Scrap at Scraps-N-Pieces

Happy New Year to all. I hope this year brings you amazement, prosperity and joyfulness. I am still nursing my broken toe. My toe is still many shades of purple and swollen and I still can't wear a shoe. It makes for fun when trying to go somewhere but thank goodness I have my surgical shoe I was fitted with when I had foot surgery. My lil guy was playing with the toaster (it was unplugged) the other day while I was on the phone. I went over to shoo him away from it and as we were walking off, he stopped walking as I kept going. I hear a crack and instant pain. Good thing I've learned how to control my cursing, otherwise, the person on the other end would've gotten an ear full. LOL. I hope and pray this heals faster than I know realistically it will.
